My name is Dennis Levy. I am a community organizer with over 30 years experience working for people. I am raising funds to retain a lawyer for my brother Bruce Levy. Bruce was 64 years old and the oldest Child Care Counselor when he was terminated. My Brother believes his former employer fired him after 23 years of dedicated service for being too old. Based on Bruce and my opinion, he was the victim of classic 'Employment Age Discrimination' https://bit.ly/2KKVTDy .

Bruce needs a good employment attorney to prove his case but attorney's cost money. Bruce now 68 years old has been actively fighting his case for four years . My brother was forced to retire after being fired for no legitimate reason .

Due to his loss of income He and his Wife had to relocate to another state more affordable for their retirement. Bruce is currently under care with a Psychiatric NP diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, secondary to circumstances related to his former life-long employment.

Bruce filed his own Federal Age Discrimination Lawsuit pro se in others words representing himself. His case was accepted in Eastern District Court, New York. Link to Docket #: 2:17-cv-00182(JMA)(AKT) Bruce is in the pre trial Discovery stage. Bruce who doesn't have an attorney must try to gather as much evidence as possible to prove his case. Whether Bruce wins will depend on me raising funds to obtain an Employment Discrimination attorney for him.

I became my brothers strongest supporter and an advocate with Bruce against ageism.Age discrimination in the workplace is the practice of letting a person's age unfairly become a factor when deciding who receives a new job, promotion, or terminating employees based on their age. My brother was the classic victim of 'Ageism.

Ageism is one of the most pervasive forms of discrimination in the workplace today, but itís also one of the most under the radar - some even go so far as to say itís one of the last socially acceptable prejudices. The Age Discrimination Employment Act (ADEA) forbids age discrimination against people who are age 40 or older. This may be casual or systematic. Make no mistake this could happen to anyone over 50 years old at the work place.

My goal is to raise money for an attorney that includes a small team of experts and investigators to represent my brother Bruce Levy. I want the attorney to take Bruce's case to trial and use the law firms public relation people to raise awareness of the prevalence of age discrimination in the work place by highlighting Bruce's case and let people know they are not alone.
